NEW YORK — The Columbia volleyball program has revealed the team’s 2024 schedule, with the season set to begin with the Big Apple Tournament at Levien Gymnasium on Saturday, September 6. The Lions will play host to the Syracuse Orange in the first match of the Big Apple Tournament on Saturday at 11 a.m. Later that night, Columbia will take on Manhattan at 7 p.m. The next day, the Lions will close out their only home tournament of the season with a match against Fordham at 2 p.m.The following weekend, Columbia will hit the road for the first time in 2024, traveling to Rhode Island to take part in the Friar Classic. The Lions will play three games in Providence against the Friars, Stonehill, and Saint Peter’s. Columbia will conclude its non-conference schedule at the Jacksonville Invitational in Florida the weekend of September 20. The Lions will take on the Dolphins, as well as Bethune Cookman and the Citadel in the Sunshine State.Ivy League play begins on Saturday, September 28, and the Lions will kick things off with a road match against Cornell at 3 p.m. Columbia is scheduled for four more consecutive road matches to open the conference slate, including tilts against Harvard (October 4), Dartmouth (October 5), Brown (October 11), and Yale (October 12). The Lions return home after over a month away from New York City on Friday, October 18 for a match against Princeton. Columbia will host its “Dig Pink” game the following day against Penn. Columbia will wrap up a five-match homestand with three more initiative games. The Lions will host Cornell on October 26 (Alumnae Weekend), Dartmouth on November 1 (Pride Night), and Harvard on November 2 (First Responder Night). The final road trip of the season will be to Penn and Princeton on November 8 and November 9, respectively. The Lions will then return home to close out the regular season with games against Yale and Brown. Senior Night will be against Brown on November 16 at 6 p.m.2024 marks the third year of the four-team Ivy League Tournament, which will be hosted by the top seed.
